Bruno is a very laid back, well behaved boy. He plays kissy face with the kitties in his foster home. He LOVES kids. Bruno goes to work with his foster mom to Dog's Meow (selling dog and cat food, supplies, etc.) and plays greeter and is available for belly rubs from patrons. He uses the dog door like a champ. Bruno enjoys walks and going places, but his favorite thing is just hanging out.

Copper is a sweet boy with a crooked tail. He was returned to UFBH when his owners no longer had time for him. If you can find time in your life for this adorable boy please contact us!

Lucky, a mellow gentleman hound is approximately seven years old. He is very laid back and easy to handle. In his younger years he was a take-charge kind of guy, but he just prefers to hang out now. Quite the looker, this handsome hound is house/potty trained, he uses a doggie door or waits to be let out. He does well in the car, gets along well with other dogs. Lucky likes to go on walks or have play sessions in the yard. He has learned how to live with cats and has gotten along well with a three-year old child. Eager to please, he knows a few commands: Sit, Stay, Wait, and Leave it. Not too bad for a hound!! Please help Lucky make his dreams come true. He needs a human or a family to call his own.

  8 years and 4 months.

When Lenny first arrived at UFBH, his nickname was Fat Albert. Lenny is Fat Albert no more! The Len Man has been working out, eating right (yum - veggies) and is feeling like the guy he always knew he could be. Lenny came to UFBH this summer as a stray and he was VERY overweight. As you can see, even with a few more pounds to lose, Lenny looks fabulous. He also feels great. Lenny loves to play with his Basset housemates and go on short hikes (which continue to lengthen). Lenny is an incredibly easy, well behaved, fun dog who just wants a chance to enjoy life and who will give you nothing but love in return.

Willie is a very sweet basset mix who can be a little timid around strangers, but once he gets to know you, he is a very loving and devoted companion. He is energetic, and unlike many bassets, would do well with hiking and other outdoor activities, as long as he is on a leash. He definitely requires a secure yard. Willie is great with kids and alright with cats, as long as they can tolerate his playful energy. He is wonderful with other dogs and has been a great companion for his foster brother and sisters. It is hard not to fall in love with him ? especially his beautiful eyes and eager devotion!

Lexie is a fun loving girl with a little longer legs who loves to snuggle. She also likes walks and is no slacker. Lexie is the first out the doggy door to greet me or say good-bye when I go to work. She gets along with other dogs, yet lets them know when she needs a little "me" time. She and Mindy are a bonded pair and depend on each other. Often times you find them both snuggled up sleeping together. They must be adopted to the same family.

  5 years and 7 months.

Mindy is a plump little girl who loves to snuggle up and lay on your lap. She loves walks and is a little on the slower pace trail, however, keeps up with the pack. Mindy is first at the bowl at dinner time, no need to call twice. She and Lexie share food very well. Mindy will tolerate a bath and knows it makes her coat shiny ... but if she had her choice...maybe not. Any water sources like hot tubs or pools should always be locked or covered, Mindy was curious as I was hot tubbing and decided to hop up to join me. Needless to say, after one hind leg and her belly got wet that was enough of that. She loves her belly and lower inside legs scratched. Those legs get to kickin and wiggling and she just loves it...I'm certain you can see her smile. She is bonded with Lexie and they must be adopted together.

This girl came to us quite overweight! She has been going on walks to help get her girlish figure back. She has a great personality and loves people!
