We Found Forever Homes, continued...

Ace

Ace is now known as Cosmo. He now lives in a wonderful home where he now has a Golden Retriever brother and a kitty sister. He's loving it so much that he's become pretty vocal about it! We are working on that though!

Brittany

Bless her little heart, it took Brittany AGES to find the perfect home. She's just the cutest plump basset; very outgoing, but not so fond of certain men. A couple from Wyoming saw her photo and thought she was the best thing since sliced bread (which she'd love to eat, if you have any...)

Cleo

Cleo, now known as Eleanor Rose or Ellie for short, was adopted to be companion to a special needs basset and Sharpei. Cleo fit in right away and for those 'in the know,' Cleo's addiction to water guzzling seems to have passed. Needless to say, Ellie is spoiled rotten!

Copper

Copper (the basset on the right) spends his days wrestling with his new 'brother' Jack. He was surrendered because the family could not get him housetrained. Copper's challenges with housetraining were the typical of a puppymill/pet store dog- sitting in their own filth is typical for them and so crate training is all but impossible. With a doggie door, lots of time, and patience Copper's now got the hang of it!

Trusty

Trusty, renamed Arthur by his foster mom, has it made. He and his new sister, Fraia, go to Dogmode for play days several times a week. Plus, he visits the dog park on a regular basis. Arthur is a regular social butterfly. Good thing, too, as his new Mom, is now a foster for UFBH and there are numerous bassets coming and going! Watch for his new photo on the website...his coat is now super shiny and he's gained some weight!

Gunther

When we inquired about a success story from Gunther's new mom (Jill, our Foster Coordinator), this is what she wrote...(sung to the Sesame Street tune, C is for Cookie) G is for Gunni, who’s good enough for me, G is Gunni, who’s good enough for me, G is Gunni who’s good enough for me, oooohhhhhh Gunni, Gunni, Gunni starts with G! Apparently, Gunther has his own personal anthem!

Vinnie

Vinnie

It's not often you get a inquiry about someone looking for an older hound, much less TWO older hounds. Vinnie and Vespa (see below) were on their new mom's radar for quite some time and she wanted them enough that she contacted us well in advance of being able to take them in...Vinnie and Vespa have a great home now where they have a great fenced yard, a kitty to attend to...a warm and cozy bed to sleep on...with Mom!

Vespa

Vespa and Vinnie were adopted together...see above.

Dillon

Remember Dillon, the young pupster who had likely been kicked so hard his leg was broken? Well, he's doing great! He's now best pals with his sister, Daisy, another UFBH rescued basset. His surgery and physical therapy went very well. He's had a second surgery to remove the pins from the first surgery. He's well on his way to romping and playing full speed with Daisy!

Flash

Flash, now known as Cooper was the basset puppy taken to the vet hospital to be euthanized because they thought he had parvo. As you might recall, the test turned out to be a false positive...
