Greetings!
I thought I'd take a moment and let all of you know that UFBH
will be soon losing two wonderful volunteers and Board Members.
Tommy and Helen Martin, our first Webmaster and Foster Coordinator,
respectively, will soon be moving to Washington state. Helen was
offered a wonderful new job and Tommy will soon have the garage and
work shop of his dreams! Although it's not official yet, I have a
sneaking suspicion that they may be taking another of our rescued
bassets with them. Keep an eye out for that announcment.
Thank you! Thank you! UFBH will be forever grateful for your
contributions!

Website Updates...
If you have not been to our website lately, be sure to surf
your way on over. There have been many changes of late. The UFBH
Mini-Mart is now officially up and running.
And, perhaps the most gratifying is the newly updated Success
Stories page. There is nothing more exciting than seeing,
in full color, all the lives you have helped changed!
If you adopted from UFBH and notice that your basset's name
isn't highlighted, it's because we still still need a written
update from you. Get in touch with either Peggy Chudd
or Jennifer
Kleinschmidt.
If you adopted and your basset is missing from this
newsletter, have no fear. Your cute basset will be announced
in the following newsletter.

Jazzie
Jazzie's new mom spotted Jazzie at the Waddle. She was so
smitten with Jazzie she contacted us about adopting. After a
few initial hiccups (some excessive barking and such), Jazzie
has settled right in.
Beau
Beau (now, known as Sam) knew a good thing when he saw it.
His new mom came to meet him and he attached himself like glue
to her side. When she finally had to leave and go home, Sam
cried at the door after she left. He had chosen his new
family! Now, he's got a great new basset sister, Hannah.

Daisy is a real love! She's affectionately known as the
"Shark" at her foster home. NOTHING gets betweeen her and a
treat! She was surrendered because she stopped getting along
with her doggie siblings at her old house. But, she's not
shown one ounce of grumpiness toward any of her foster
brothers.
If you know of someone looking for a great companion who is
just as happy sleeping at your feet as going on walks...Daisy
is the gal for them. |
